Dr. Rohit Sachdeva, one of the world's leading experts in digital orthodontics, describes the finishing phase of aligner treatment as "the reduction of errors that have accumulated during treatment". These errors occur rapidly during the alignment sequence. This can lead to a loss of tracking of orthodontic tooth movement, and thus to "derailed" treatment. These errors are the result of a combination of diagnostic and treatment planning errors.
After years of experience, we have developed Aligneurs Français to improve the predictability and duration of our treatments. We selected the best materials, processes and optimized the entire production chain for our aligners. This is how we achieved our ambitions.
This results in shorter, more precise processes, with less finishing.
The best plastic to deliver optimal forces:

There are quality standards and criteria for the manufacture of aligners. They are directly responsible for the precision of tooth movement. Material flexibility and adaptation, combined with the time required to apply forces, are often problematic.
Thin plastic is molded around undercuts and interproximal spaces between teeth. It may not provide sufficient force to achieve the desired tooth movement. So we had to find the perfect compromise between the greater forces exerted by thicker plastic and the thinner, more flexible plastics that adapt better to the arches.
We chose theinnovative three-layer structure (Zendura FLX)to meet these objectives.
This consists of a layer of flexible elastomer sandwiched between two layers of stronger PETG :
This plastic reconciles our needs for precision, force intensity and treatment comfort for the patient.
Optimizing biomechanics :

It has been clearly demonstrated that certain movements (extrusion, root movements, rotations), particularly for certain teeth (maxillary and canine), are less predictable and require special attention.
These difficulties led to the creation of bonded composite fasteners (cleats). They increase the adhesion surface of the gutters and optimize the application of force couples.
Our specialists have reviewed andvalidatedthe choice of shape, size and position of these cleats, to provide optimum guidance for tooth movement.
The template gutter we use in an Aligneurs Français treatment to glue the attachments is made specifically for this step. It allows for maximum detail in the attachment. This equates to 70 microns of printing precision, compared with 150 microns for most of our competitors. Last but not least, it provides sufficient flexibility for uninsertion.
High-quality 3D printing:

As with prosthetics, the precision of the impression and the surface quality of the models are paramount. They are directly responsible for treatment quality.
Our printers manufacture your models to a precision of 70 microns, the most accurate in France today.
The perfect fit of Aligneurs Français aligners to teeth and cleats ensures faithful transmission of the force system and optimal execution of dental movements.
Evidence-based digital planning:

Most importantly, the design of the sequence of dental movements and their velocity require the utmost attention.
Planning sequential moves or block moves has different indications. Each clinical situation has its own adaptation.
“Simply expecting teeth to move from the beginning to the end of the occlusion without a specific plan in between inevitably leads to treatment failure.”
A number of factors need to be taken into account, including dental collisions, contact points, occlusal and muscular forces, reduced contact surfaces with plastic, etc.
With this in mind, we decided to put "Set-Up" at the top of our priority scale.
We carry out our planning with technicians trained in our orthodontic planning practices.
By compiling most of the scientific literature and many years of clinical experience, we offer a fully evidence-based solution.
Our team of orthodontists will then check the setup for safety and precision.
This method allows us to minimize the risk of side effects and the need for finishing touches. We offer you a high-quality, ergonomic solution. We’ve thought of everything to make your treatment with invisible aligners a success.
